Pastor Alphonso Jackson, Sr. has served as Senior Pastor of the Second Baptist Church of Richmond Heights from November 2000 to the present day. He is happily married to the lovely Dewana Jackson, and they have been blessed with two children - Rev. Alphonso, Jr. and Brianna.

Pastor Jackson's love for his family and faith is matched by his love for God's people. His giving spirit and fervent desire to see the best for God's people has catapulted his ministry into the leadership of the Seaboard Baptist Association, in which he serves as the Moderator. He also serves as 2nd Vice President of the Florida General Baptist Convention.

Pastor Jackson's preaching and teaching are second to none, and his unique way of bringing the deeper things of God to a level that everyone can understand has endeared him to congregations nationwide. He is highly sought out for his teaching on First Fruits, Family Life, and Kingdom Principles. We are blessed to have such a dynamic man of God right here at Second Baptist Church!

Reverend Alphonso Jackson, Jr. is the Children & Youth Pastor of the Second Baptist Church; a highly respected ministry in Miami, FL.,

Born in Coconut Grove, Florida, Alphonso Jackson was called to the ministry at the age of 18. And preached his initial sermon at Second Baptist Church in Richmond Heights, FL under the leadership Rev. Dr. Alphonso Jackson, Sr. As Children & Youth Pastor for Second Baptist, Rev. Jackson’s uncompromising and bold teaching of God’s Word have already made an impact in the lives of many young people in the Miami area. 

Noted as a community leader, Rev. Alphonso J. Jackson, Jr., is an Executive Board Member of the Young Black Clergy Men, Inc., a past Board Member of the Bethune Religious Life Program, and a Chaplain in the Seaboard Baptist Association’s Youth Department which is apart of the Florida General Baptist Convention.
